- 2 boneless Chicken Thighs
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
For the Teriyaki Sauce:
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 inch ginger minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Season the chicken thigh pieces with salt and pepper, then coat them with 1 tbsp of cornstarch.
In a bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, sugar and water. Stir until everything is well mixed, then set aside.
Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken thigh pieces and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Pour the teriyaki sauce into the pan with the chicken. Let it simmer for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
Remove from heat and let the dish cool slightly to thicken further. Serve over steamed rice, and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
