Mango graham slice in a white plate

Philippines is where the mangoes are and it’s no surprise that we can also make the best mango graham recipe in the world.

The secret for me to create this irresistible recipe is whipping the overnight chilled cream until it’s light and fluffy, then layering it with sweet ripe mangoes and  graham crackers.

Once it chills, everything comes together into a creamy, fruity, and refreshing dessert that’s always a hit.

This is an all-time favorite dessert which is usually served during the Christmas season, but honestly, it’s so easy and delicious that you can enjoy it any time of the year.

Are Mango Graham and Mango Float the Same?

Yes! Mango Graham and Mango Float are actually the same dessert. The only difference is in the name. Many Filipinos call it Mango Float because of its light and creamy texture, while others prefer to call it Mango Graham Cake since graham crackers are the key ingredient.

No matter what you call it, it’s still the same no-bake layered dessert made with graham crackers, whipped cream or all-purpose cream, condensed milk, and fresh sweet mangoes. Some versions even add crushed grahams on top for extra crunch.

So the next time you hear someone say Mango Float or Mango Graham, remember, they’re talking about the same creamy and fruity Filipino classic that everyone loves.

Mango Graham Ingredients

Graham Crackers

These act as the base and layers of the dessert, giving structure and a mild sweetness. Once chilled, they soften and blend beautifully with the cream and mango.

All-Purpose Cream (chilled overnight)

Chilling the cream makes it easier to whip until smooth and fluffy. This is what gives the dessert its rich, creamy texture that ties everything together.

Condensed Milk

Provides the sweetness that balances the tangy flavor of the mangoes. When mixed with cream, it creates a luscious and velvety filling.

Ripe Mangoes

Fresh ripe mangoes are the highlight of this dessert. They add natural sweetness, juiciness, and a tropical flavor that makes Mango Graham so irresistible.

How to Make Mango Graham

1. Whip the Cream and Milk
Pour your chilled all-purpose cream into a bowl, add the condensed milk, and whip them together until smooth and fluffy.

2. Slice the Mangoes
Peel your ripe mangoes and cut them into thin, even slices. These will be perfect for layering later.

3. Spread the Cream at the Bottom
Get your square pan and spread a thin layer of cream at the bottom. This helps the graham crackers stick and keeps everything in place.

4. Layer the Graham Crackers

Arrange your graham crackers over the cream. If some don’t fit, just break them into smaller pieces to fill the gaps.

(Sorry, I wasn’t able to take photos of this part, but you can check the video for a clear guide on how I layered the graham and cream.)

5. Add More Cream
Spread another layer of cream on top of the crackers, making sure to cover them well so they’ll turn soft and creamy.

6. Top with Mangoes
Add a layer of sliced mangoes over the cream. Keep repeating the layers of crackers, cream, and mangoes until your pan is filled.

7. Chill Overnight
Cover your pan with a cling wrap and let it sit in the fridge overnight. I like leaving my graham float to chill this long because it really softens the crackers and makes the flavors come together perfectly.

8. Serve and Enjoy
The next day, slice your Mango Graham and serve it cold. Each bite will be creamy, fruity, and super refreshing.

How Long Does Mango Graham Last?

If you store your Mango Graham properly in the refrigerator, it can last for about 3 to 4 days.

Just make sure to cover it well with plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container so the cream stays fresh and the mangoes don’t dry out.

I always suggest finishing it within a few days because the mangoes can release juice over time, which may make the dessert a bit soggy.

Honestly though, it usually doesn’t last that long in our fridge — everyone grabs a slice right away.

Can I Freeze Mango Graham?

Yes, you can freeze Mango Graham if you want to make it ahead or keep it longer. Freezing helps the layers stay firm and can extend its shelf life up to 2 weeks.

When you’re ready to eat, just transfer it to the refrigerator and let it thaw slowly for a few hours.

Keep in mind that the texture of the mangoes might change a little after freezing, but the dessert will still taste creamy and delicious.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not really. Just whip until it’s smooth and fluffy. Over-whipping can make it grainy.

You can, but the texture won’t be as rich and creamy as chilled all-purpose cream.

Of course. Just reduce the condensed milk or balance it with some fresh cream.

You can, but the crackers will still be crunchy. For the best soft and creamy layers, chilling overnight is worth it.
