Pork adobo.

Whenever I feel like cooking something, my first move is to open Google or YouTube. But then I started asking myself, which Filipino recipes are people searching for the most?

Curiosity got the best of me, so I did the digging. I checked keyword tools, scrolled through YouTube, and looked at the top food videos. The results didn’t surprise me at all because these dishes are the kind you’ll crave again and again.

And now I can’t wait to share them with you—let’s see if your favorite dish made the list.

Adobo With Egg

1. Adobo

No surprise here. Adobo always leads in Google searches, with hundreds of thousands of people looking it up every month. On YouTube, adobo recipes range from 1 million to over 5 million views. It’s the ultimate Filipino dish, whether you make it with pork, chicken, or both. I often cook this when I want something reliable because I know the sauce and rice combo always hits the spot.

Pork sinigang in bowl.

2. Sinigang

Sinigang is one of the most searched comfort foods. Google shows strong search numbers every month, and YouTube videos often reach 1 to 3 million views. That sour tamarind broth is something Filipinos always crave, especially on rainy days. For me, pork sinigang feels like home in a bowl.

Chicken tinola in a white bowl.

3. Tinola

Tinola is another dish that Filipinos often search for online. Google shows strong monthly interest, and YouTube recipes get 500k to 2 million views. It’s a simple chicken soup with ginger, papaya, and malunggay that feels light but comforting. I like serving it when I want a warm and healthy meal.

Creamy and nutty beef kare kare in a plate of blanched vegetables.

4. Kare Kare

This peanut-based stew is a heavy hitter on Google and YouTube, with videos reaching 1 million to 3 million views. Kare kare is rich, creamy, and always paired with bagoong, which makes it unique. It’s not the fastest dish to cook, but when you serve it, you’ll understand why people keep searching for it.

Plates of chicken caldereta with fresh chili and bell pepper on the table.

5. Caldereta

Caldereta is another top searched Filipino stew. On YouTube, recipes usually reach 800k to 2 million views. The tomato-based sauce, potatoes, carrots, and tender beef, chicken, pork or goat meat make it a hearty dish. It’s one of those meals that reminds me of Sundays, when slow-cooked dishes were worth the wait.

Fried lumpiang shanghai with ketchup dip.

6. Lumpiang Shanghai

No Filipino party is complete without it, and Google search proves it. YouTube videos for Lumpiang Shanghai range from 1 million to 4 million views. Crispy, golden, and loaded with pork filling, these little rolls disappear fast once served. Whenever I cook it, I always make extra because they never last long on the table.

7. Sisig

Sisig has exploded in popularity, not just in the Philippines but internationally. Google data shows it’s highly searched, and YouTube videos hit 2 million to 6 million views. Chopped pork, onions, and calamansi on a sizzling plate, often with egg on top, make this dish unforgettable. I remember the first time I tried cooking it, the smell alone made me hungrier than I expected.

Platers of pinakbet on a white marble table with garlic and bitter gourd on the background.

7. Pinakbet

Pinakbet is a staple vegetable dish, and Google searches back it up. On YouTube, videos range from 300k to 1.5 million views. Made with ampalaya, okra, eggplant, and bagoong, it’s earthy and full of flavor. I like it better with pork belly as sahog because it balances the bitterness of the ampalaya.

Spoon scooping a slice of pork steak with onion rings.

8. Bistek Tagalog

This soy-calamansi beef dish is searched often on Google, and YouTube videos hit 700k to 2 million views. Bistek is simple but flavorful, with onions soaking up the savory sauce. It’s one of those recipes you can cook on a busy weekday and still feel like you made something special.

9. Champorado

This sweet chocolate rice porridge is a childhood favorite for many. Google searches spike especially during rainy months, and YouTube videos often reach 500k to 1.5 million views. I like having it with tuyo on the side, a combo that may sound odd but tastes amazing.

10. Chicken Inasal

Chicken Inasal holds a solid spot both in Google searches and YouTube, with videos reaching 1 to 3 million views. Grilled chicken marinated in calamansi, lemongrass, and spices, then brushed with annatto oil, makes it extra tasty. It reminds me of road trips where inasal was always the star of local eateries.

Ginataang gulay with shrimp.

11. Ginataang Gulay

Dishes with coconut milk always attract searches, and ginataang gulay is one of them. YouTube recipes usually get 300k to 1 million views. It’s creamy, flavorful, and works with whatever vegetables you have, often with a little pork or shrimp as sahog. It’s the kind of dish that makes plain rice exciting.

12.Turon

Turon is a street food superstar. Google searches prove it’s popular, and YouTube videos hit 800k to 2 million views. Banana wrapped in lumpia wrapper with sugar and sometimes jackfruit, then fried to a crisp—it’s simple but addictive. I remember buying these after school when I was younger.

12. Bibingka

Bibingka is searched heavily during Christmas season, and YouTube videos range from 400k to 1.5 million views. The soft rice cake with salted egg and cheese is a holiday favorite. The smell of freshly cooked bibingka instantly makes me think of December nights.

13. Halo Halo

When it comes to desserts, halo halo is king. On YouTube, recipes reach 2 million to 6 million views, and Google searches skyrocket every summer. It’s colorful, icy, and loaded with sweet beans, jellies, leche flan, and ice cream on top. Just saying halo halo makes me crave one on a hot day.

Sauteed pork leg with pork blood sauce.

14. Dinuguan

This pork blood stew may be divisive, but its search numbers prove it’s well-loved. YouTube recipes usually range from 400k to 1.2 million views. Rich, savory, and best paired with puto, it’s the kind of dish that people either crave or skip, but those who love it know it’s unmatched.

15. Laing

Laing closes out the list, with strong Google search traffic and YouTube views ranging from 500k to 1.5 million. Made with dried taro leaves simmered in coconut milk and chilies, it’s rich, spicy, and comforting. Whenever I cook laing, I always end up eating more rice than planned.

I can keep going on with my list but I am afraid this will be more than 100 dishes. That’s how rich and flavorful Filipino food really is. Each recipe has its own story, its own fans, and its own place in our kitchens. These top-searched dishes just prove what we already know, Filipino food is worth craving, worth cooking, and worth sharing.
